Translation quality depends on several factors

It takes more than choosing a good translator to deliver quality translations. Here’s a list of three things to consider in translation projects:

  1. Language review

Proofreading or language review is one of the best practices for translation. When another professional translator reviews the translation, it ensures good quality. Our translation prices normally include language review.
  2. Context and references

When the translator has the opportunity to properly understand the product and the context of the translatable text, the translation quality will be better. Natural language is always ambiguous, and the shorter the translatable snippets are, the riskier it is to translate them without enough context information.
  3. Scheduling

A good translation always takes some time. If the schedule is very tight, the translator won’t have enough time to consider alternative wordings, phrases or review their own work. It’s always better to schedule your projects with long enough turnaround times for translation.

When these things are considered early on, we can ensure quality translations for all business needs. Together we can succeed!
